WWE Rumors: Hall Of Famer Backstage At ‘Battleground’ And A Triple Threat Match Could Be Added To Card

The start of WWE Battleground is just a few hours away, and there is still a lot of talk as to what could actually happen. Rumors have flown for weeks and Sunday morning brought a ton more, but now they’ve had even more come about. It’s being rumored that a WWE Hall of Famer is backstage for the event and a big triple threat match for the Divas will be added to the final card.

With Ryback’s injury causing the Intercontinental Title match to be taken off of the card, there is now an open slot since only six matches are listed. With that, it appears as if WWE will be going with a triple threat for the Divas and giving them a chance to shine.

According to PW Insider, the triple threat is going to be between the Divas and take one member from each faction that debuted on Monday Night Raw. There will be one from Team Bella, one from Team BAD, and one from Team Paige.

It’s not exactly known which Divas will be chosen, but the one staple seems to be Charlotte from Team Paige.

Adding even more credibility to that rumor is that WrestleZone states Ric Flair is actually in St. Louis right now. Not only is he in St. Louis, but he’s already in attendance backstage at Battleground.

Now, this adds a lot of confusion as to the rumors going around that The Miz and Big Show would still have a match of some kind. Rumor had it that the two would face off in a number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title, with possibly even a third wrestler put into the match.

Should the Divas’ triple threat be added to the card, then you can expect The Miz and Big Show to have the night off. Then again, The Miz could do a segment and keep the feud going by having Big Show as a guest or something.

So many rumors are going around about tonight’s event, and it has taken a card that looked mid-level and moved it to an event that shouldn’t be missed. Here is a recap of what may or may not happen at Battleground tonight, other than the confirmed matches.

• A Divas triple threat match including Charlotte – Will Ric Flair accompany her to the ring?
• Sting may show up and interfere in the match between Bray Wyatt/Roman Reigns
• The Undertaker could appear and interfere in the main event
• Dean Ambrose could get a match against Kane or get involved in a big-time angle
• The Miz and Big Show could have a singles match or triple threat with a yet unnamed wrestler
• A huge “swerve” could happen during the main event between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins

The Divas look to be getting their match at WWE Battleground tonight, and it could include an appearance by Ric Flair. On the other hand, that may not happen and a bunch of other rumors could come true, but everyone will know soon.
