Kaitlyn Bristowe Talks Green Card, Wedding Plans: Is ‘The Bachelorette’ Moving To The U.S.?

The Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe gives out her final rose on July 27, and fans are anxious to find out if gets engaged to Nick Viall or Shawn Booth on the season finale.

Aside from her more-than-obvious Snapchat leak, Kaitlyn has hinted that a wedding is in her future. She recently chatted with fans about getting a green card, and dished about the wedding of her dreams. Is she planning to move from Canada to the U.S., and will fans see a televised wedding?

[Spoilers ahead]

Last Sunday, Kaitlyn appeared in her former Bachelor castmate Becca Tilley’s Periscope video, and rambled on about getting a job and a green card. Bristowe and Tilley frequently post updates to the live video site, but their ramblings are usually deleted hours after posting.

Savvy followers noted that Kaitlyn would need a green card if she plans to find a permanent job in the U.S., but a wedding would solve that problem nicely. While it’s likely that the Bachelorette was issued a visa to appear on the show, Bristowe could obtain a green card, after meeting strict requirements, if she marries her final pick, rumored to be Shawn Booth.

Other than appearing on reality shows, it does not appear that Kaitlyn has a job, so marrying an American citizen would allow her to stay in the U.S. Whether she continues on to star in other reality TV shows like some of her predecessors is unclear.

There is speculation that Kaitlyn will be flashing a 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring on the After the Final Rose special (July 27), and fans are hoping she will talk about her plans to marry Shawn.

The Bachelorette recently dished about her dream wedding to People, stating that she doesn’t want to wear a traditional gown, but pictures herself in a “very bohemian” dress with a hippie headband.

Will fans see Kaitlyn wearing the hippie wedding get-up during a televised wedding on the ATFR special, or will she follow in the footsteps of Sean Lowe and cash in on a more extravagant made-for-TV event after the show is over?

With rumors circulating that Kaitlyn has already broken up with her final pick, it’s unclear what’s in store for fans of the Bachelorette. However, once the post-rose ceremony attention is over, the media will undoubtedly put her relationship will be put to the test.

Watch the three-hour season finale of the Bachelorette on July 27 starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
