Britt Nilsson, Brady Toops Talk Split: What Went Wrong For The ‘Bachelorette’ Couple?

Fans were hopeful that the Bachelorette romance between Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops would go the distance. Unfortunately, reports now indicate that in reality, the relationship barely got past the starting gate. After rumors swirled regarding a split, Britt and Brady are opening up a bit about when the two broke up and why things didn’t work. What did they have to say?

Reality Steve’s spoilers had indicated a few weeks ago that Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops had split, and that it had happened earlier than even he had realized. At the same time, Britt and Brady were still being featured in short Bachelorette segments here and there, making it seem that they were dating and happy. During one segment, Nilsson even said something to the effect of being able to see him as her husband.

For a while, Britt and Brady posted photos on social media showing them together, and it definitely appeared that they were still dating. After Reality Steve’s revelation that the two had split, buzz escalated, and this week multiple media outlets started reporting that indeed, Nilsson and Toops had broken up. At the same time, the network, Britt, and Brady all stayed mum on the topic.

Now, however, Britt and Brady are opening up about the relationship. Nilsson and Toops chatted with People and revealed that the couple’s relationship only lasted a few weeks, which would mean that they had split by late May or early June. Nilsson says that it was tough to realize that they weren’t meant to be, as they looked like a perfect match on paper.

Britt shares that Brady stayed in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks after they first connected and they spent a ton of time together. She was hopeful, but when she visited Nashville a couple of weeks later, she realized that they weren’t all that in sync.

Nilsson explains that as the two got to know one another better, she determined that they “weren’t fed by the same things.” She realized they didn’t have the connection she needed and that their personalities are quite different. As fans have seen, Britt is definitely an extrovert, whereas Brady is more of an introvert.

The Bachelorette star admits that watching the romance play out on television, knowing that it’s over in real life, has been a challenge and fairly painful. While those who follow Britt’s social media sense that she’s moved on relatively well, many have seen that Brady seemed to take this one pretty hard.

Toops’ Instagram posts have given fans the sense that he is feeling emotional over the split from Britt. He admits via People that he has struggled with this heartbreak and he’s incorporating it into his music. Despite the breakup, Brady says he has no regrets and he hopes that Britt finds the love she’s seeking.

The Bachelorette “Men Tell All” special airs Monday, July 20, but it seems neither Britt nor Brady were involved. Many have wondered if the two will be a part of the “After the Final Rose” special on July 28, though now that the breakup news is officially out, that may not need to happen.
