Real Housewives of New York City star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps has released a new song about the rules every woman should follow, titled Girl Code (Don’t Be So Uncool) . After releasing the single, de Lesseps told People that it was motivated by her co-stars on the show.
“This is about girls who steal boys from other girls,” the reality star stated. “It’s an anthem for all women everywhere to have each other’s backs. It’s really multigenerational from a young age to women who are much older.”
In addition to the single, de Lesseps also spoke a few words of wisdom she thinks every woman should take to heart. Along with advice to be supportive and never drink and text, she also dished out advice about keeping secrets and stealing men.
“If you want to keep your girlfriends, always know when it’s appropriate to flirt,” she stated, adding “Don’t gossip about each other and never speak of nips and tucks.”
While de Lesseps is busy with the release of her girl-code song, another cast member of Real Housewives of New York City has declared that she is done with the show. According to Us Magazine , Heather Thomson will not be returning to the show for the new season.
An inside source close to the show revealed that Thomson wants to explore other business opportunities and spend more time with her loved ones. “She wants to focus full-time on her business, Yummie, her family, and expanding into the health and nutrition arena,” the source stated.
Thomson has been with the show for the past three seasons. Although she has enjoyed her role in the reality series in past seasons , the insider stated that she is dissatisfied with what the show has become.
“The cons of doing the show far outweigh the pros at this point, and what the show has become don’t fit what she wants to be doing,” the insider told the magazine. “She did it to promote her business and it devolved into ridiculous fights over the ridiculous antics of some unstable women.”
Apparently, the conflicts Thomson had with other members of the show is a big reason why she wants out. “She did the show to promote her business and later to be with her best friend, Carole Radziwill, and didn’t expect it to end up with fighting with Bethenny and Sonja [Morgan] and the rest edited out,” the source explained. “It is no longer a good fit with where she sees her life going so she is making the choice to walk away.”
