WWE Rumors And Predictions For ‘Battleground’: Will Undertaker And Sting Show Up? Who Will Help Seth Rollins? Will Brock Lesnar Win The Title?
On Sunday, WWE will hold Battleground, and the card is absolutely stacked from top to bottom, but there is always room for a surprise to two. Well, the rumors have been flying lately about what could happen between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins, but also what will happen now that Ryback is injured? Oh yeah, and there is talk that both Sting and The Undertaker are coming back soon too.
Yes, there is a ton of talk happening lately, and it is leading to something big for not only Battleground, but for SummerSlam next month as well. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest rumors that could take place at the pay-per-view this weekend.
The Undertaker may show up – This is, by far, one of the biggest rumors going around right now. Earlier this week, a picture was tweeted of Undertaker working out big-time and it looked like he was gearing up for a return to the ring. It appears that may be true.
WrestleZone reports that Undertaker is scheduled to show up on Monday Night Raw the day after Battleground, but that doesn’t mean he can’t make an appearance on Sunday. His showing up will set up a program and match for SummerSlam.
Sting may show up – As if The Undertaker wasn’t enough, it looks like Sting is coming back soon too. The Wrestling Observer says he will have a match at SummerSlam, but it isn’t known against who just yet.
SummerSlam is a little over a month away, and that’s plenty of time to build a program, but showing up at Battleground could give him a jump. Maybe he’s looking to get that match with The Undertaker in now.
Dean Ambrose will play a big role – Last month, Dean Ambrose was in the PPV main event and fighting for the WWE Title. Now, he doesn’t even have a match on this month’s card. Still, he is expected to be at Battleground, and he will play a role in one way or another.
Miz and Big Show will still fight – Last night, WWE officially removed Ryback from the Battleground card with a staph infection injury. The Miz and Big Show will still fight, along with possibly a third wrestler, in what will likely be a number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title.
Huge swerve for the main event – While it isn’t known exactly what it will be, WWE apparently has a “huge swerve” prepared for the main event between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. This could have something to do with Undertaker and/or Sting, but likely not.
It is believed that something will transpire to keep the belt around the waist of Seth Rollins a little while longer. This would lead to another match between the two at SummerSlam where Lesnar is expected to win the title.
WWE Battleground is just a few days away, and there is going to be a lot that takes place on the card. We can’t forget that something may also happen with the new NXT Diva that just debuted on the main roster. The Undertaker, Sting, Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose — anything can, and possibly will, happen on Sunday.
