Brooks Ayers’ Cancer Saved His Relationship With Vicki Gunvalson? ‘RHOC’ Couple Is ‘Better Than Ever’
Brooks Ayers and Vicki Gunvalson are reportedly better than ever. Although the Real Housewives of Orange County couple hit a rough patch in their relationship last year, a source told Radar Online on July 16 that Ayers’ recent cancer diagnosis has brought them closer together.
As fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County have seen, Brooks Ayers is currently battling Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Prior to Brooks Ayers’ cancer diagnosis, he had been “very flirty with other women, and it was incredibly disrespectful to Vicki,” Radar Online‘s insider explained.
“They had broken up several times, only to get back together again. But after the cancer diagnosis, [Brooks Ayers] realized what was truly important in his life, and that was Vicki. She has taken such great care of [Brooks Ayers] and he has moved in with her. The cancer diagnosis saved their relationship, and brought them much closer.”
The insider went on to claim that while Brooks Ayers’ relationship with Gunvalson has recently improved, his cancer battle remains in full-swing. His cancer has given him a “very tough fight,” but luckily, the medicare care he’s received at the City of Hope in Duarte, California has been a great help.
As for Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, who has been on the outs with Brooks Ayers since they met years ago, the two have made no progress — despite his attempts.
“Brooks has tried to reach out to Briana, for Vicki’s sake, but it seems Briana thinks Brooks is using Vicki as a nursemaid and will dump her once he is on the road to wellness.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Brooks Ayers moved in with Gunvalson last year after learning he was suffering from cancer. However, rather than trust Ayers with access to her property, Gunvalson ensured she would be protected by forcing him to sign a legal agreement prior to the move. As Classicalite reported earlier this year, Gunvalson labeled the agreement as a “prenup, without the nup.”
“I am protected if my relationship doesn’t work out with Brooks. We have a legal binding agreement that my divorce attorney drafted, and Brooks signed without any hesitation. This eliminates any miscommunication in a relationship once you put it all out there about what your expectations are, it’s one less thing to worry about.”
