What rut? Justin Bieber’s lead single from his new album is preparing to land, according to a Facebook update the singer shared on Thursday.

“I think I just made my single,” the 21-year-old teased fans, adding a smiley emotion to his message.

Bieber’s wording more than suggests he is referring to the first single from his anticipated fourth album.

Hours later, the young hitmaker tweeted the following.

The positive music news comes one day after Bieber’s explosive Steven Klein-shot photo shoot for Interview magazine dropped online with an accompanying cover story, in which the Canadian was lightly grilled by Martha Stewart on his new album , relationship status, and personal details such as leaving high school with 4.0 GPA, if you please.

Zooming straight to Bieber’s reveals about his new album, since it looks like his first single is in the can — let’s dive in.

“It’s just very personal ,” the Biebs explained after Stewart asked if his new material will be romantic.

He went on, “People will be able to really get into where my heart is. It’s about my journey in life, stuff that I’ve been through. Maybe I can teach a lesson —- certain things that are inspiring.”

Of his hot studio team, Bieber reaffirmed that he’s working with album co-producers Kanye West and Rick Rubin, adding, “I’m working a lot with Skrillex and Diplo and this guy named Poo Bear, who’s an incredible writer. We’ve just been getting our groove.”

The heartthrob collaborated with Skrillex and Diplo (collectively, Jack Ü) on “Where Are Ü Now.” The EDM banger is now officially certified platinum in the U.S. It has generated over 150 million streams on Spotify and is currently No. 9 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart.

The singer continued, “You kind of go through a period where you’re in there and nothing comes and nothing comes, and then, finally, it’s like bang-bang-bang — you get them all in a row. I’m at a place where I’m really happy and I’m ready to share my music.”

Although Bieber reaffirmed that real instruments are used on the album and that he played drums and guitar on some of it, he revealed that it will push the envelope sonically.

“Skrillex is on a really new wave ,” he teased, “and has found a way to take my vocals and mix them, and play with them, and pitch it up to make it higher with these cool effects that sound really futuristic . We have a really good chemistry.”

As with today’s single announcement, the singer didn’t dish on an album release date, but his reasons should make the wait worthwhile.

“I just want it to be perfect, so we’re taking our time with it,” Bieber insisted . “We’ve gone in with a bunch of different people.” He added, “I’m just trying to get the best sound and have it be consistent and make sense with what I’m going through in my life right now.”

Meanwhile, Beliebers took to Twitter to express their (mostly) overjoyed feelings about the Biebs’ first single reveal. The snapshot below shows the range of “we’ll believe it when we hear it” to “JustinReleaseTheSingle” reactions.
