‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Stars Mark Boone Junior, Theo Rossi and Kim Coates Ride Their Motorcycles Again For Charity
Sons of Anarchy stars just can’t get enough of their fans.
Anybody familiar with the famous FX show Sons of Anarchy, which wrapped its seventh and final season last December, would know that it was one of the most successful shows on TV. The fact that it had a viewership of more than ten million people by the time it premiered its final episode was in itself a huge testament to the influence of the show.
But what makes Sons of Anarchy even more special, apart from the writing and performances, is the way its stars reach out to their fans. Theo Rossi, who played Juan Carlos “Juice” Ortiz on the show, has repeatedly been vocal about his belief that Sons of Anarchy‘s followers are the most loyal fans to be found anywhere. And why shouldn’t they be, when one considers the efforts people like Theo and Kim Coates and Mark Boone Junior make to be of service to their fans.
Take Mark Boone Junior (Sons of Anarchy‘s Bobby Munson) for example. Since his Sons of Anarchy tenure ended in December 2014, Mark has traveled the length and breadth of the country in an attempt to interact with fans everywhere. Sometimes, as Benito Link reported, he travels just for the sake of meeting his fans as he did recently in Hollister, California. But at other times, he is part of a social collective that aims to raise money for important causes.
As reported by Niagara This Week, the Sons of Anarchy alumni are set to ride their motorcycles again, and this time, it is all for the sake of the kids. For the second year running, Coates, Boone, and Rossi will return to Niagara to support St. Catharines-Thorold & District Ride for Kids Sake on July 17 and 18. Having helped raise more than $35,000 last time around, the organizers are confident that this year will be a bigger success among fans.
“We are so excited to have Kim participate in our Ride for Kids Sake event again this year and equally excited to welcome Mark Boone Junior. The funds we were able to raise from this event last year with [their] support allowed us to meet the growing demand and provide the Game On! program to 245 boys in 23 schools across St. Catharines, Thorold and Niagara-on-the-Lake.”
Mark Boone Junior is equally appreciative of the Sons of Anarchy fans. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the time of Sons of Anarchy‘s final season, he spoke of his experience with the fans.
“The fans of this show are maniacs. They are unbelievable. Every fan I run into, and there are many everywhere I go, they express tremendous sadness and disappointment that this show is not continuing.”
If this is the spirit in which these stars continue to work with the community, there is no doubt that Sons of Anarchy will be etched deeply in the minds of its fans for more reasons that one.
