‘Real Housewives’ Kim Richards Skips Treatment Sessions After Leaving Rehab
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards left rehab over the weekend, and while she reportedly had plans to continue her addiction treatment in an outpatient facility, a source claims she has failed to do so.
On July 16, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.
“Kim has not been back to the center and has not been doing her outpatient therapy. She has already missed four sessions.”
The Real Housewives star has been struggling with alcohol dependency for years, and in early 2015, she suffered a relapse after a couple of years of sobriety. Following her most recent relapse, Richards was arrested and charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer. She then entered treatment for her issues, but left the facility to attend a wedding. After returning to Los Angeles, Richards entered a second rehab, and then a third, which was the location she left over the weekend.
“The rehab program directors are just assuming that Kim isn’t returning to treatment there, and no one is going to chase her down and try to force it on her. She did not get along with hardly anyone there to begin with and when she left she had not even really started her intended program, which was at least three months.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives star’s ex-husband, Monty Brinson, recently took to Instagram, where he claimed he was proud of Richards for her decision to enter treatment. According to a Radar Online report at the time, Brinson also claimed Richards was over one month sober.
“Kim checked into voluntary because she wanted to help herself, no intervention or told her too. I’m proud of her because she 38 days sober. So proud of her for doing it in her own. In the tabloids they say the children have abandoned her which is a complete lie our daughter Brooke and her other children are so proud and by her 100% as well as the regarding the last post was that since everything happen she has been offered multiple things. Its not a comeback she been a actress since she was 4.”
Earlier this week, after weeks of rumors regarding The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6 cast, TMZ reported Richards would not be seen on the show, either in a full-time or part-time role.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6 is currently in production.
