Jana Duggar Might Return To TV On A Show That Isn’t ’19 Kids And Counting’

Jana Duggar might still get to return to reality TV if 19 Kids and Counting gets canceled. However, she won’t be appearing on TLC.

One of Jana Duggar’s close friends, Michael Bates, is getting married, and she’s asked Jana to be one of her bridesmaids. Michael and her massive family star on the Up TV series Bringing Up Bates, so 19 Kids and Counting fans might want to tune in for Michael’s wedding special — Jana will probably make an appearance during the episode.

Michael Bates made the announcement about her bridesmaids on her Instagram page. As you can see, Jana is the only Duggar girl that will be a member of Michael’s wedding party. However, the rest of Jana’s family will probably be invited to the ceremony, so keep an eye out for the entire 19 Kids and Counting clan if you watch the Bringing Up Bates wedding episode.

During a conversation with her Instagram followers, Michael confirmed that she and fiance Brandon Keilen are planning on having their wedding televised. There’s no word on when their wedding episode will air, but there are usually a few months between the date that Bringing Up Bates episodes are filmed and the date that they air. For example, Michael and Brandon got engaged in April, and their engagement episode didn’t air until last week. Fans may have to wait until next season to watch Brandon and Michael exchanging vows on TV.

Because 25-year-old Jana Duggar still lives at home with her parents and doesn’t work or go to school, she doesn’t get many opportunities to meet potential husbands. Many 19 Kids and Counting fans have been praying that the oldest Duggar daughter will find love, and a wedding could be one of the best places for Jana to talk to eligible young men. Jana’s fans know that a Duggar daughter can only escape the Duggar compound if they find a husband, and they want poor “Cinderella Duggar” to get hitched so she doesn’t spend all of her youth acting as a “sister mom” to her younger siblings.

During an interview with ETonline, Michael’s younger sister, Erin Bates, said that she thinks fans of 19 Kids and Counting and Bringing Up Bates will get to see a Duggar marrying a Bates someday.

“I personally think, hey you have 19 kids on each side, I think it’s almost inevitable somewhere down the line. As much as we see each other, I think there’s going to be an attraction somewhere. I don’t know where yet, but I think it’s gonna happen.”

Unfortunately, all the older Bates boys are hitched, so Jana Duggar probably won’t permanently join the Bringing Up Bates cast by marrying into the family. RadarOnline alleges that Zach Bates once “attempted” to court Jana and that she just “wasn’t attracted to him,” but this rumor hasn’t been confirmed by any members of the Duggar or Bates families.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, it’s possible that Jana’s fans may never see her on another episode of 19 Kids and Counting. After Josh Duggar confessed to sexually molesting four of his sisters, TLC decided to pull reruns of the series from its schedule. The network hasn’t decided whether it will bring the show back for another season, and the Duggars should definitely be worried that TLC’s ratings actually went up after the 19 Kids reruns were axed.

While Jana waits to find out the fate of her family’s reality series, she’s been busying herself with her babysitting duties. The photo below was recently posted on the Duggar family Facebook page, and it shows Jessa helping Jana and a few of the “littles” with a painting project.

“Jana is taking advantage of summer time to get some of the little ones outside to work on a few fun projects!” the photo was captioned. A few Facebook fans have speculated that the girls are painting hopscotch numbers on cement squares.

Jana and the other older Duggar daughters who are still stuck at home, 21-year-old Jinger and 17-year-old Joy, also entertained themselves by filming a congratulatory message for their cousin, Amy Duggar. Amy recently got engaged, so Jana will have another wedding to attend in the near future. The video below was shared on the Duggar Family website.
