John Luke Robertson’s Honeymoon: ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star’s Honeymoon With Wife Mary Kate McEacharn Was ‘An Absolute Dream’

John Luke Robertson’s honeymoon with his wife, Mary Kate McEacharn, was “an absolute dream,” according to the Duck Dynasty star.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, John Luke tied the knot with Mary Kate on Saturday, June 27. The young couple exchanged their vows in front of 800 guests at the Robertson family farm in West Monroe, Louisiana.

The pair, who are both 19-years-old, are following in the footsteps of Willie and Lorie Robertson, John Luke’s parents, who married young. John Luke’s parents also went to Liberty University, where he and Mary Kate plan on attending college in the fall. Willie Robertson, Duck Dynasty star and CEO of Duck Commander, officiated his son’s wedding, and even had a mariachi band perform prior to the ceremony.

The guests later enjoyed a six-tier cake along with a spread of “grilled chicken skewers with vegetables, mini tacos and hamburgers, brisket sliders, and barbecue shrimp.”

Their wedding came just eight short months after John Luke popped the question to Mary Kate on his 19th birthday.

Recently, the couple took a romantic two-week honeymoon to Australia and Indonesia, and documented the trip with a series of photos on Instagram.

“Hello mate,” Robertson captioned a photo of him and his new wife feeding a baby kangaroo.

“Island exploring with my woman,” Robertson captioned another photo with his love on a sandy beach.

Mary Kate also shared some snapshots of their fun-filled honeymoon.

“Honeymoon: part 2, day 1,” the brunette beauty wrote alongside a photo of her and her hubby in complete snorkeling gear.

“These past two weeks were an absolute dream! but happy to be heading back to louisiana,” she captioned her final honeymoon photo, showing her kissing John Luke on the cheek while they were riding on a boat in the clear blue ocean on July 12.

The couple decided to kick off their honeymoon in Australia, since they were already going there to attend a friend’s wedding, which John Luke was a part of.

“We’re going to the Outback! I’m a groomsmen in a wedding on the Fourth of July in Australia. It’s a crazy story how I met this guy but we ended up becoming best friends and he’s from Australia,” Robertson told Us Weekly before heading to the Down Under.

“His Visa expired so he had to move back,” he continued. “He got engaged a week after I did and so I called him to tell him about my engagement and he told me about his and he wanted me to be in his wedding. So we’re kind of killing two birds with one stone.”
