‘The Bachelorette’s’ Nick Viall Is The Next ‘Bachelor’? Host Chris Harrison Claims There Is A Clear Front-Runner For Next Season
With filming for the 20th season of The Bachelor getting closer and closer, it still is not known who will be the lead man in the new season. With an announcement likely to occur soon, is it possible that one of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s former Bachelorette contestants will be the next Bachelor?
According to Star Pulse, the main men that are in line to become the next Bachelor include Josh Murray, Ben Higgins, Nick Viall, Ben Zorn, and Shawn Booth. Although there has been some speculation that Ben Zorn could be picked, especially after Chris Harrison wrote on his Yahoo! blog that we “haven’t seen the last of” Zorn, Viall is also a likely candidate.
In regards to Viall, it is rumored that he actually decided to make an appearance on The Bachelorette because he wanted a chance to become The Bachelor’s lead man. Although Viall wasn’t exactly a fan favorite throughout his run on the show, he definitely seems willing to take the role if the producers decide to go with him.
Meanwhile, both Higgins and Murray are the other two men that have a strong chance at the new job. The advantage that Higgins has is that he is still at the forefront of everyone’s minds, with his Bachelorette spot this season. Additionally, he has displayed a good amount of heart on the show, which definitely appeals to fans.
However, the one thing Higgins doesn’t have going for him is that his personal life is a bit of a secret. While this doesn’t rule him out, especially considering Bristowe was in the same situation, it always helps if fans know a little bit more about the character behind the scenes.
Although a back story may be an issue with Higgins, it appears as though he at least has Bristowe in his corner. The Bachelorette star told People that she thinks Higgins would be a great choice for The Bachelor.
At the same time, Murray’s advantage is that he is popular among fans, especially in the southern states. He also has a great backstory with his baseball days, and is still relevant to fans due to his work on social media. The one downfall of Murray is that he has a lot of haters out there, and his thing with Andi Dorfman didn’t help his cause any.
Whatever man the producers end up going with, it is clear that they have plenty of options to choose from. Hopefully, an announcement on who will be the next Bachelor will be made soon.
