San Diego Comic-Con: Stan Lee Took The Ultimate Selfie With Deadpool, X-Men, And The Fantastic Four

Everyone knows that Stan Lee is the ultimate god when it comes to comic books and the Marvel world. Well, he proved it on a different scale on Saturday in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con as he took the most ultimate and super selfie ever with the casts of Deadpool, Fantastic Four , and X-Men: Apocalypse .

Those three films had a lot of conversation take place about them, and there was some brand new footage screened from all of them, along with Victor Frankenstein . After that was all over, though, more needed to be done, and that was when moderator Chris Hardwick took control.

Earlier in the evening, he told everyone in Hall H to stick around until the very end of the panel for a big surprise. A few people trickled out, but anyone who knows anything knew better than to leave with that much talent hanging around.

Well, Hardwick wanted to take his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have the most ultimate selfie ever, and it included Stan Lee. Hardwick called the casts of Deadpool, Fantastic Four , and X-Men: Apocalypse back to the stage and asked them to assemble, for lack of a better word.

“We need someone to take the picture. I think we have someone backstage.”

That was when Stan Lee himself hit the stage to a huge ovation and screams out, “You think I can just do cameos.” He wasn’t going to take the pic, though, as someone else got that job and it was none other than Channing Tatum.

This was the result posted to the Nerdist ‘s Instagram.

MTV reported that in the background were logos for Wolverine , Fantastic Four , Deadpool , and for the first time ever — Gambit . Fans know that Tatum has been chosen to play the card-wielding mutant from New Orleans, and this is 100 percent proof that it will be happening.

Tatum seems to have a habit of being in the right place at the right time for the ultimate selfies. Remember a couple years ago at the Oscars when he joined Ellen DeGeneres and a host of other A-List celebrities for a big-time selfie?

For those wondering, Jennifer Lawrence is the only person to be featured in both the Oscars’ selfie and this superhero selfie.

Stan Lee is indeed the man, but anyone and everyone in this selfie taken at San Diego Comic-Con is awesome, and it’s going to be a great few years with all these films coming out. Deadpool , Gambit, Fantastic Four, X-Men: Apocalypse , and the Wolverine sequel are only the beginning.
