‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ First Pics, See Where Lady Gaga And ‘Magic Mike’ Star Matt Bomer Will Be Checking In
American Horror Story: Hotel treated fans at Comic-Con in San Diego this year with quite a surprise. FX started the event by introducing a two-story model of the hotel that this season will be based on, and allowed a few lucky fans a chance to enter the building.
According to MTV News, once fans walked in, they were greeted by a few bellhops who ushered them away to a different room. They were then given black bags and had an opportunity to catch as much flying money as they could while everyone watched from outside. Whoever collected the most received a $100 gift card.
Although fans at Comic-Con were given a glimpse at what the hotel might look like in the coming season, there are still a lot of details that we don’t know. With that in mind, what are some things we can expect the series to include as the cast moves into a hotel?
The setting of American Horror Story has played a large role in the first few seasons. Whether it was the asylum, the haunted house, or the coven, the show’s institution has always been a sort of additional character in the series. With the setting being such an important aspect of the show, how will the hotel look and operate in the new season?
According to Movie Pilot, there are really two options on how the creators will portray the creepy hotel. First, the hotel might be a busy business with a consistent stream of customers. If that is the case, then it will likely have some sort of hidden past to deal with.
Secondly, the show could opt for a more empty feel to the hotel. As was seen in the Shinning, empty corridors and vacant rooms can certainly be used for plenty of frights and scares.
However the series decides to portray the new setting, one of the more important roles will definitely be the hotel’s concierge. Is it possible that Lady Gaga might be set to fit into that role?
It was recently announced that Gaga would be featured in the new season in a role that will be a first for the American singer. However, with her exact role is still unknown, she very well could end up being the hotel’s greeter when the series returns.
While a premiere date for American Horror Story: Hotel has not been announced, it is expected to air sometime in October 2015.
