Charlotte McKinney’s Nude Photo Leak: Is Model The Victim Of Same Hacker As Kate Upton And Jennifer Lawrence?
Charlotte McKinney had nude photos hit the internet this week, and the model and actress claims she was the victim of a hacker who gained access to her Instagram page and leaked the photos.
The photos hit her social media page on Wednesday night and remained up for a few hours before being taken down, but not before they were shared on sites like Reddit. While the cause of the nude photo leak has not been announced, there was speculation in the past that the same hacker famous for the 2014 mass celebrity nude photo leak may have access to racy pictures of McKinney.
McKinney has spoken out about her latest leak, telling fans on Instagram that she did not post the nude photos herself.
“To all my followers, I’ve once again become a victim of hacking,” she wrote on her Instagram. “It’s disgusting people enjoying doing this to others. Please disregard any message you’ve gotten from me. Thanks for the support xo.”
This is not the first time that Charlotte McKinney has been the victim of a nude photo leak. Back in April the Dancing With The Stars performer and model had another photo released, which MSN reported may have been connected to a larger leak in 2014 that saw a number of celebrities hit, including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton.
“The alleged shots would make McKinney the latest celebrity to have her private images stolen and posted on the Internet. Last year, a massive hack dubbed ‘The Fappening’ struck Hollywood, with hackers distributing nude pictures stolen from dozens of actresses.
“Jennifer Lawrence became the face of the scandal, but she was just one of many high-profile targets. Hayden Panettiere, Gabrielle Union, Kate Upton, and Kirsten Dunst were also among the victims. The saga led to debates over Internet security, criticism of Apple’s iCloud, and a dialogue about what constitutes sexual crimes and violations in the digital age.”
McKinney, who shot to fame after appearing in a racy Carl’s Jr. ad during Super Bowl XLIX, actually spoke out about the original leak, telling FOX411 that she sympathized with Kate Upton.
“My heart went out to her. It’s happened to so many girls. In high school it was always around. I mean your phone is your privacy, you don’t really think the world’s going to see this. You have a boyfriend. We’re models, we travel. We need to communicate with our boyfriends – sometimes it’s a little, you know. I think we all in the world have, you know, have done that for a relationship or anything like that. But if anything, to me, it’s more sad. It’s tough, and going out in public after something like that would be awful. It definitely makes you go through your phone, and delete some things. Hopefully, it’s all taken care of now but it’s heartbreaking. It’s tough, especially for a woman, you feel violated.”
It is not clear if authorities are looking into the Charlotte McKinney nude photo leak, but investigators are still on the case of last year’s victims.
