Jenny McCarthy Still Tight-Lipped on Brian Urlacher Romance
Jenny McCarthy has yet to publicly announce whether she and Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher are dating, but she did leak to Parade magazine she’s “giddy” about her new relationship, even if she won’t specifically say who it is
In an interview to discuss hosting NBC’s new high-octane dating competition Love in the Wild, McCarthy was asked whether she’s prepared to be Chicago’s new First Couple with the NFL linebacker.
“That’s funny!” the 39-year-old former playmate is quoted as saying. “I haven’t made too many comments other than the fact that I’m taking baby steps. We’ll see. But I’m giddy right now.”
McCarthy, who split from Jim Carrey in 2010, went on to explain that she is looking for “a nice guy through and through” and explained that she has some tricks for judging someone’s personality.
“You can really tell from talking to the person’s friends,” she said. “I always have two secrets I use: one is watching them with the service industry people and the other is going on an overnight weekend trip… You break the mold of your fake self and over 72 hours you have to act natural somewhere. Those are my two litmus test things.”
Urlacher apparently has passed both of those tests and a source close to the star says Jenny couldn’t be happier.
“[She] has really fallen for the guy. He’s such a man’s man, the most macho guy Jenny’s dated or been involved with for a long, long time,” a friend of McCarthy’s told Chicago Sun-Times.
The source added:
“That may sound old-fashioned, especially since Jenny is very much her own person and a very contemporary, independent woman in many ways. But she loves the attention and the way he treats her. It’s very comforting.”
The Sun Times writes that though Jenny McCarthy and Brian Urlacher haven’t officially announced their relationship (as if such a thing is necessary), the pair clearly didn’t mind being seen in the public together as they were spotted on multiple occasions together, including appearances at RPM Italian, Studio Paris and Board Room.
