Subway’s Jared Fogle Gets Cut From ‘Sharknado 3’ Over Child Pornography Scandal
Jared Fogle is losing one more endorsement after his child pornography scandal. Due to the scandal he’s currently embroiled in, Fogle’s cameo in Sharknado 3 will be cut. Now cuts like this usually don’t happen so close to a release or airing date, but considering Fogle’s situation, it’s not a huge surprise.
As the Inquisitr reported, Jared Fogle’s house was searched after the Jared Foundation’s former executive director, Russell Thomas, was arrested for child pornography. The FBI decided to raid Jared’s house on Tuesday.
Jared’s Attorney said in a statement, “Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion. He has not been detained, arrested or charged with any crime or offense.”
As Jared’s lawyer stated, so far Fogle has not been arrested or charged with any crimes.
As many fans of the franchise will know, Jared Fogle made a pretty great cameo in the second Sharknado film. Having him in the third one seemed like a no-brainer. Although Jared from Subway is no longer going to be in the third Sharknado film, you can still count on a ton of stars to make some cameos. Famous faces that will turn up in the third film include Mark Cuban, David Hasselhoff, Michele Bachmann, Rick Fox, Chris Jericho, Ann Coulter, Jerry Springer, Frankie Muniz, Chris Kirkpatrick, Ne-Yo, Jackie Collins, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, and more.
The third film will star Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, who have starred in the two other Sharknado films. You can catch Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No on the SyFy channel next Wednesday.
Sharknado 3 isn’t the only thing Fogle is being cut out of. According to E! Online, Subway, the chain that made Jared an overnight celebrity and a popular endorser, has cut ties in the wake of this disaster. A spokesperson told the outlet about the decision to drop Jared from Subway. The two “mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.”
