Is Nick Viall In Love With Kaitlyn Bristowe? ‘The Bachelor’ Host Chris Harrison Thinks So
Things are beginning to heat up between two of the leading men on The Bachelorette. In last week’s episode, fans witnessed Shawn and Nick butting heads after Kaitlyn broke the news that she had slept with Nick. How will things turn out between two of the show’s final contestants?
Chris Harrison recently talked with TV Guide and discussed how both of their feelings for Kaitlyn have played a large part of the whole situation.
“Look, Shawn is head-over-heels in love with Kaitlyn, Nick is either in love or falling in love with Kaitlyn, and Kaitlyn is either in love or falling in love with both of them. All of that is extremely obvious to everybody involved,” Harrison stated. “Maybe there are times when you’re not sure [how Kaitlyn] is feeling about the other guys, but Shawn knows that she has feelings for Nick and vice versa. It’s a true love triangle of epic proportions.”
The end of the last installment of The Bachelorette saw a confrontation between Shawn and Nick after Shawn found out about Nick’s intimacy with Kaitlyn. “It’s hard for me to admit it, but we had sex,” Kaitlyn told Shawn while the two were at an Irish pub in the last episode. “That night we went back to my place, I just feel like it went too far.”
In regards to how Shawn reacted to the news, Harrison stated that it was only a matter of time before he and Nick fought over their mutual love for Kaitlyn.
“Shawn was like Mount Vesuvius boiling over and at some point this was going to happen,” he explained. “While Shawn was smart enough to not have the confrontation in front of Kaitlyn, you knew there would be one – he loves Kaitlyn too much and hates Nick too much to let this go.”
Although Shawn accepted one of the three roses at the end of the episode and managed to keep his cool in front of Kaitlyn, his fight with Nick isn’t likely to remain quiet for long. What’s ahead for the two men as their issues with each other boil over to the next episode? “[The argument] is pretty incredible and we pick up next week where we left off,” Harrison revealed. “And as far as Kaitlyn’s involvement? You’ll definitely see that as well. A confrontation like this won’t stay quiet,” he added.
The next episode of The Bachelorette airs Monday night on ABC.
