Ariana Grande’s Planned All-Star Game Appearance Isn’t Happening, Sources Say Demi Lovato Will Replace Her
Unfortunately for Ariana Grande fans, they won’t be seeing their favorite singer at this year’s All-Star Game as originally planned. According to Fox News, Ariana Grande abruptly dropped out of the All-Star Game concert due to having surgery on her wisdom teeth. Though there has been no real explanation from Grande’s team, there may be a chance Grande left the game behind due to having just gotten her wisdom teeth out or due to controversial comments Grande made recently regarding her feelings towards Americans.

The lineup for the All-Star Game is still being voted on, but prominent frontrunners include Mike Moustakas of the Kansas City Royals and Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Johnny Cueto. The game will start at 7 PM Eastern on Tuesday July 14 and will be played in Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park. E! Online got a statement from Demi Lovato and MLB about the event in which the singer discussed her feelings about performing before the All-Star Game in place of Ariana Grande.
“I’m so excited to be headlining the MLB All-Star Concert,” said Lovato in the statement. “I hope my fans in Cincinnati are ready to get ‘Cool for the Summer!'”
The last part of Lovato’s statement references her latest single, which is available now on Apple Music and is number one on Billboard’s Trending Top 40 songs. An MLB press release on E Online went on to express disappointment that Ariana could not perform but wished her a speedy recovery from the surgery.

Many of Ariana’s opponents are claiming she is dropping out because of her controversial comments about hating America and not just due to having surgery.. Either way, Ariana is drawing lots of fire on social media. E Online mentioned that British group Rixton will perform at the All-Star Game, as well.
What are your thoughts about Ariana Grande cancelling her performance? Does she really have health concerns or is it a PR stunt to avoid public criticism about her inappropriate behavior as of late? Let us know in the comments below.
