New Korean Celebrity Couple Alert! — K-Drama Actor Lee Dong Gun And T-ARA’s Jiyeon Are Officially Dating

So far, this year has become very romantic as numerous big-name K-drama actors and K-pop musicians are rumored or officially dating. Though there are many instances of Korean actors and/or musicians being rumored of officially being together, there were two that stood out. The first couple was reported back in June when rumors spread that Kim Soo Hyun (My Love From Another Star, Producer) and Sandara Park (Dara of 2NE1) were dating. However, the rumors that Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk dating were more prominent given the fact that they were the lead characters in Pinocchio.

Though the aforementioned relationships are sure to cause a lot of chatter among the Korean entertainment community, they are just rumors. Ergo, it is a breath of fresh air to find out that K-drama actor Lee Dong Gun and T-ARA’s Jiyeon are officially dating.

According to Koreaboo, a recent photo emerged at Korean news sites E-Daily of Lee Dong Gun and Jiyeon enjoying each other’s company with another couple at a restaurant in Shanghai, China (shown to the right). The detail of most interest is when Jiyeon holds Dong Gun’s hand to her cheek affectionately.

Confirmation of the couple’s relationship was given to TV Report by MBK Entertainment, the agency representing Jiyeon, as reported by KdramaStars.

“I can confirm that Lee Dong Gun and Jiyeon are dating. They grew close after filming a movie.”

An official for FNC Entertainment, the agency representing Lee Dong Gun, confirmed they were dating too, providing the extra detail that they developed feelings for each other after working on set of Encounter.

“After checking with Lee Dong Gun, we know that they are in the first stages of meeting and interest.”

Though it is nice that both Lee Dong Gun and Jiyeon are at a point in their relationship in which they are comfortable to make it public, the people just can’t leave them be. Shortly after their relationship was made official, discussion about their ages came into play given the twelve-year gap. Dong Gun is 34 while Jiyeon is 22. In the end, however, age is nothing more than a number if both of them are truly happy together.
