Ariana Grande Slammed For ‘I Hate America’ Comments In New Video, Fans React Via Twitter
Ariana Grande may have ignited dating rumors with backup dancer Ricky Alvarez after the duo were seen sharing a kiss in a newly leaked video from a California donut shop on Saturday. However, it’s Grande’s “rude” behavior in the video that’s raising eyebrows.
TMZ obtained security footage of Grande’s outing with friends from Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California on Saturday, in which Ariana can be seen getting cozy with her backup dancer, Alvarez, in the video.
While Grande was seen planting two kisses on Alvarez’s lips during their donut date, it’s what occurred just prior to the duo’s sweet kiss that’s sending fans into a frenzy on social media.
In the video, Grande and Alvarez can be seen giggling to themselves as they dare one another to lick the donuts on display on top of the counter. As Alvarez dares Grande to get closer to the sweet treats, Ariana appears to actually lick the display donuts before erupting into laughter at their prank.
While the video footage doesn’t confirm that the duo actually licked the donuts, Daily Mail reports that sources from the donut shop are very upset with Grande for the little prank.
“Sources in the shop say it was definitely too close for their liking—especially since Ariana pulled the stunt when no one was looking, and they would’ve tossed the contaminated donuts if they knew.”
The site adds that it was an unimpressed employee from the shop who leaked the security footage, which also revealed a much bigger issue towards the end of the video.
In another clip from the security footage, Grande can be heard ranting about a freshly made batch of donuts that were apparently not made to her liking.
Ariana, who was born in Florida, proceeds to express her disgust for the newly-made donuts, telling her group of friends that she’s appalled with the freshly baked treats.
“What the f**k is that? I hate Americans, I hate America. That’s digusting.”
While it’s unclear what prompted Grande to make the eyebrow-raising comments, fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure with Ariana regarding her anti-American rant.
One Twitter user writes, “What Ariana Grande did in the donut shop was disgusting, unsanitary & also rude; doesn’t matter successful she is. #SorryNotSorry,” while another adds, “why is everyone shocked that Ariana Grande is a rude obnoxious little girl. This behaviour has been displayed before.”
Some fans came to Grande’s defense, even trending the hashtag “#StopTheHateOnAriana.”
“Ariana is the sweetest and nicest person ever I stand by her no matter what,” one Grande fan wrote via the social media site while another notes, “We will always be here for you no matter what moonlight princess.”
Ariana has yet to respond to the news of the video. However, TMZ notes that the Grande-licked pastry is already going for some big money on eBay.
