Watch South Africa Vs. Bangladesh 2nd T20 Cricket Live Online: Tigers Look To Even Series, Streaming
Fans of international cricket can watch live online as South Africa tries for a sweep of Bangladesh in their two-game T20 series on Tuesday. But Bangladesh will take heart from its bowling attack, which in the first T20 held South Africa to just 148 despite a pitch that appeared to contain little to help the team with the ball.
To find out how to watch the Bangladesh vs. South Africa 2nd T20 International cricket match live online, see the information in the final paragraph of this article. First ball in the July 7 contest is once again scheduled for 1 p.m. local time at at Shere Bangla National Stadium, in the Bangladesh capital city of Dhaka.
That’s 3 a.m. United States Eastern Time, midnight Pacific — and 7 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time.
The afternoon started off promisingly enough for a Bangladesh team that has been nearly unbeatable in limited overs matches in its home country over the past year. The Tigers came into the series having won 10 straight home One day Internationals before dropping its Third ODI against India last month.
While Bangladesh had been weaker in the T20 format, they still managed to blow away Pakistan in the lone ODI of that nation’s tour on April 24.
On Sunday, after South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first, 28-year-old left arm spinner Arafat Sunny opened the Bangladesh bowling by dismissing the formidable A.B. de Villiers for just two runs.
Fellow spinner Nasir Hossain then ended the day for power-hitting Proteas wicket keeper Quentin de Kock, who was caught out at covers by Litton Das. Sunny later removed another major South Africa threat, J.P. Duminy, for just 18.
But South Africa T20 Captain Faf du Plessis, batting third, took the responsibility on his own shoulders, with an unbeaten innings in 79, which proved to be half of his team’s 148.
The outlook looked optimistic for Bangladesh, but when it came their turn in the crease, Tamim Iqbal fell almost immediately, caught out with a top-edge on a quick-reflex play by de Kock. Then Soumya Sarkar flailed at a bouncer from Kagiso Rabada, popping the ball straight to Duminy for an easy catch.
Losing the two openers for just five and seven set the tone for Bangladesh, who managed no more than 96, the Tigers’ lowest total ever in a home match.
The Tigers will absolutely require a far more focused batting attack in support of what they expect will be continued accuracy by their spin attack as they look to regain the feel-good momentum that had captured the imagination of their whole country over the first half of 2015.
