Prince George Has An Adorable Name For Queen Elizabeth

Even though it was Princess Charlotte’s christening on Sunday, Prince George managed to steal the show with a virtuoso and adorable appearance as he clung onto his daddy, openly wept, peered into his sister’s pram, and even chatted with his great-grandmother.

Now, normally when a great-grandchild talks to their great-grandmother, it isn’t news worthy. However, the fact that Prince George’s great-grandmother is Queen Elizabeth II means that people are always going to be interested to see the relationship between the pair.

Images of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince George at Princess Charlotte’s christening were shared on Kensington Palace’s Twitter account, and you can check out the 2-year-old and 89-year-old deep in discussion below.

But while the rest of the world refers to Queen Elizabeth II as “Your Majesty,” and bow or curtsy when introduced to her, the Mirror have now found out what Prince George calls the head of the Royal Family.

The footage apparently sees Prince William leading Prince George by the hand. Along the way, Prince William informs his oldest child that they’re “going back” to either “Granny’s” or “Nanny’s.” The Royal Family later went to Sandringham House to carry on the celebrations.

This means that even though Camilla-Parker Bowles and Carole Middleton are Prince George’s actual female grandparents, Prince George has decided to call Queen Elizabeth II by that moniker, too, to save time. It’s believed that Prince George calls Carole Middleton “grandma.”

Prince William and Prince Harry have previously been caught calling Queen Elizabeth II granny. In fact, in an interview for the Diamond Jubilee, Prince Harry stated when asked about the Queen, “To me she’s just Granny.”
