Jordan Spieth, Girlfriend Annie Verret Vacation In The Bahamas Before Upcoming British Open
Jordan Spieth and girlfriend Annie Verret fled to the Bahamas following Jordan’s epic US Open victory to enjoy some vacation time before the next round of golf tournaments separate them once again.
According to the Sun Times, Spieth, 21, and his long-time girlfriend, Annie Verret, also 21, jetted off to the island getaway and were snapped soaking up the sun on a luxurious yacht with some close friends.
Posting a snap to Instagram with the caption “#Bahamas,” Spieth is seen snuggling up to girlfriend Annie Verret (the couple on the right above) as they enjoy some downtime before the upcoming British Open.
Fans of the popular couple were disappointed when Verret was a no-show throughout the U.S. Open in June, especially after their much-publiziced kiss following Spieth’s Masters’ win in May.
Spieth and rival Rory McIlroy, the No. 1 golfer in the world, are the sports’ latest heartthrobs, and their love life seems to get almost as much media attention as their remarkable golfing skills.

With news of McIlroy’s ankle injury, fans will likely be disappointed that the rivalry will be put on hold while Rory heals.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jordan Spieth and girlfriend Annie Verret have been together for many years, and are setting the standard in how to have a mature relationship despite the onslaught of media attention.
The Texas couple began dating in high school and maintained a long-distance relationship while Jordan excelled in golf at the University of Texas and girlfriend Annie Verret completed her business degree, earning a 4.0 GPA, and her name on the dean’s list as well as on the President’s Honor Roll — twice.
The couple endures separations while Spieth continues to make an enduring name for himself in the world of golf, and Annie helps underprivileged kids find a passion of the game as an event coordinator at The First Tee of Greater Dallas.
While fans may clamor to see more of Annie and Jordan together, they prefer to keep their relationship on the down-low, with Annie keeping both her Twitter and Instagram accounts private.
Spieth and Verret seem to lead a rather simple life despite Jordan’s astronomical rise to fame, which only highlights their maturity.

In a column for the Washington Post, Thomas Boswell marveled at the young golfing star.
“In normal human development, 21-year-olds are only supposed to be partially formed, ill-suited to seeing all the sides of complicated issues, and at times they’re just jerks. Years later, that all gets sorted out, and we meet the person they become.
Spieth has shattered that view. Many say he’s just what U.S. golf needs.”
