Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown Performs 4th Of July Concert, Forgets Lyrics, Struggles To Finish
As Bobbi Kristina Brown lay in a hospice center, father Bobby Brown performed a concert last night in Atlanta. Yet, the pop crooner struggled with the lyrics from his most popular songs.
Bobby Brown was an opening act for R&B band Mint Condition at Atlanta’s Wolf Creek Amphitheater as part of the Affordable Old School Concert Series. Other acts included 8Ball and MJG, Juvenile, J.J. Williamson, and Tweet.
According to onlookers, the concert went seemingly well until Bobby Brown, clearly not in the same shape as he once was when he belted his famous hits, began forgetting lines to the songs. The “Don’t Be Cruel” singer stopped to apologize after missing the words to one of his biggest hits, “Roni.”
“Yo I was skipping songs and sh** like what the f**** is Tender Roni? I feel like I’ve been up here like two hours. But trust me, I’m not going to do anything that I don’t do. I love doing these shows; ya’ll gone get it.”
Bobby walked over his to his backup band several times after forgetting what song he was supposed to sing next, but he still tried to keep the crowd going with promises that he would keep going. The forgiving audience cheered him on as he tried to finish his set.
The crowd’s forgiving nature more than likely stems from knowing that Bobby’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is still in dire medical condition. Although Bobby didn’t mention his daughter like he did earlier this year at a Grand Prairie, Texas concert, he seemed distraught while trying to perform. The singer faced great backlash after his Texas concert, where he announced that Bobbi Kristina was awake and watching over him.

Earlier this year, Bobby canceled his Australian tour dates in order to spend more time with his daughter. His representative made the announcement shortly before the concert dates.
“Bobby Brown’s upcoming Australian Tour featuring special guests Treach and Kay-Gee from Naughty By Nature, has been postponed to May to allow Bobby Brown to spend further time with his family.”
Meanwhile, as rumors of secret photographs taken of Bobbi Kristina continue to surface, Bobby requested tightened security at the Peachtree Christian Hospice center. Reportedly, all cellphones and cameras must be checked in at the nurse’s station prior to anyone entering Bobbi Kristina’s room.
Although numerous stories have surfaced that Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away, she is still alive and in hospice care. Bobby Brown is expected to return to her bedside at some point this week.
