Oprah Winfrey may go a long way back with Bobbi Kristina and her talented mother, Whitney Houston, but she had nothing to do with a desperate attempt to save Bobbi’s life , according to TMZ .
Reports had suggested earlier that Oprah had organized a medevac airplane to bring Bobbi Kristina to meet with a top brain specialist in Chicago. But sources told TMZ that it was in fact Patricia Houston, and not Oprah, who had Bobbi flown in from Atlanta, where she has been battling death after the January incident which left her unconscious.
However, as People reported, Bobbi was taken back to Atlanta when the specialist in Chicago told family members that there were no possible chance of recovery for the 22-year old singer and media personality.
Oprah has been closely associated with Bobbi ever since Whitney Houston’s drowning accident in February 2011. In her first public interview after her mother’s untimely demise, she had spoken to Oprah about her emotional state, Inside Edition reported.
“I’m getting through it. I’m doing as good as I possibly can.”
In February, when Oprah came to know of Bobbi’s dire prognosis for the first time, she was visibly shaken at the news. In a video uploaded by TMZ , Oprah could be seen shrugging off suggestions that Bobbi’s bathtub incident was creepily similar to what happened with her mother, and that it was all, in fact, a little ironic.
“It’s a sad time… [But] I do not believe there is any irony in the timing that it is all happening around the same time. Because it has just been three years, right?”
Oprah had also talked about her filmmaker friend Tyler Perry’s support of Whitney and her daughter.
“Tyler has been really close to the family. Tyler was really supportive of Whitney when she had her troubles – he intervened and tried to help her – and I know that he’s been instrumental in trying to help Bobbi Kristina, too.”
Bobbi Kristina had first appeared on Oprah’s show when she was 16 and had spoken about the deep bond she shared with her mother, Whitney Houston, whom she idolized.
“Words can’t explain how proud I am of her. I had been there with her, you know, through everything, but I stayed by her side. She is like my best friend, you know, like my sister.”
A couple of days before her fatal accident, Bobbi had updated her Twitter account with an ambiguous message.
On my own.

As reported by Fox News , the hope that Bobbi Kristina would recover diminishes with every passing second. And as CBS News reported, Bobbi’s family members are bracing themselves for the worst and now with Tyler Perry having visited Bobbi, it is perhaps time Oprah visited her too.
