History Channel’s Vikings is a show that has a very select and loyal fan base. As we reported earlier , this year select members of the cast and crew will again be attending San Diego Comic Con next week.
Travis Fimmel (who is starring in the upcoming blockbuster movie Warcraft ), Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, and Alexander Ludwig will join History EVP Dirk Hoogstra and Vikings writer and creator Michael Hirst in Room 6A on Friday, July 10th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Vikings panel.
Already confirmed at the Vikings panel will be a sneak peek of Season 4. Other Vikings adventures laced throughout San Diego Comic Con 2015 include; the chance to win “a sunset cruise in the harbor on a recreated and fully kitted Vikings longboat with the cast of the show,” special Vikings inspired mugs (they were vastly popular at last year’s Comic Con) for use in the Gaslight district, and your chance to replicate your favorite Vikings scene via the Instagram Bludgeon Booth – complete with special effects blood spatter.
Fans will get the chance to enter to win a very special sunset tour on a replica Vikings longship (actually they are very cleverly disguised amphibious buses locally called “Seal Boats”) by following History Channel’s Vikings on Twitter (@HistoryVikings). On board will be select cast members from the show. However, Vikings fans will get the chance to travel on this longship beforehand during July 10 and 11 at San Diego Comic Con, Unfortunately, Vikings cast will not be on board. As yet, the schedule for where the longship will stop has not been released.
Thanks to Blastr , here’s some of the Vikings swag on offer during San Diego Comic Con:
Also available is the very first Vikings comic book. According to IGN , fans who attend the Bludgeon Booth will receive a copy of this new Vikings comic. All the details are below:
“Vikings creator/writer Michael Hirst wrote the story, with Ralph Tedesco and Joe Brusha acting as script writers. The inside artwork is by Dennis Calero and the cover art – featuring a scheming Floki, an outraged Ragnar, and an injured Lagertha – was done by Anthony Spay.”
History Channel’s Vikings tells the story of Ragnar Lothbrok and his journey from farmer to king of the vikings. While set in historical fact, the show also uses creative license to create a show that vividly brings the lives of the vikings to the small screen.
Season 4 of Vikings will air on the History Channel in 2016.
