Kaitlyn Bristowe’s ‘Bachelorette’ Beats Out Andi Dorfman’s, Nick Vaill To Thank?
While Kaitlyn Bristowe may not be dealing well with all of the criticism that she has received due to her controversial season of The Bachelorette, the show’s creator and executive producer is loving the increased ratings, which is presumably up because of all the drama between Kaitlyn and her group of men.
On Tuesday, a day after the latest episode aired, creator and producer Mike Fleiss revealed that Kaitlyn’s season is outperforming the previous season, which starred Andi Dorfman. Ratings are up by the double digits.

Many people credited the ratings jump to the presence of Nick Viall. One person declared that Nick makes for great TV.

Another person said that the producer has Nick to thank for the ratings.
One person even suggested that Nick be the next The Bachelor star, considering how he brings the drama. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, host Chris Harrison hinted last week that Nick could indeed be the next man to hand out the red roses.
Others credited the increased ratings to how “trashy” and what a “train wreck” the show has become.

Nick, who was actually the runner-up on Andi Dorfman’s season, dropped a bombshell at the end of Andi’s season when he revealed during the After the Final Rose that he and Andi had sex during their fantasy suite overnight date. He asked her why she made love to him when she knew that she was in love with Josh Murray instead and intended to accept his proposal. She quickly replied his question was a “low blow.”
Instead of staying away from the franchise, Nick decided to return for another chance at love. He joined Kaitlyn’s season mid-way through filming, frustrating the other men, especially Shawn Booth, and delighting Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn ended up having sex with Nick after a few dates.
The promo for the new season made no secret of Nick Viall’s return and the fact that Kaitlyn Bristowe had sex with one of her suitors. In an interview with E! News in late May, before the premiere aired, Kaitlyn admitted that she and Nick had been in contact before she was named as the next Bachelorette.
“We had a friendship before I came on and had that chance of being the Bachelorette and I think we had talked a lot and had this connection that we both only understood as a friendship. And after I was gone I guess he was missing that friendship and thought, ‘Okay maybe it was more than just a friendship…'”
