New ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Images Revealed — Why Is Travis So Concerned?
We have some more images from AMC’s new series Fear The Walking Dead. Series showrunner Dave Erickson also has some brand new information about the companion show to The Walking Dead.
While one of the three images of Fear The Walking Dead released by Entertainment Weekly has already been doing the rounds for a while, the other two images show main characters Madison (played by Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis). The image of Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) shows her standing alone in the bleachers at a school. It’s probably her school, although, considering Madison is a guidance counselor, it could also be her school. The second image, of Madison, is fairly nondescript, not really showing any sort of strong emotion, although it appears she is at school. The last Fear The Walking Dead image is of Travis and is probably the most intriguing of the lot. Most of the image is taken up by a barrier — a wall? Or could it be the bleachers Alicia was standing on? If these three images interconnect, it seems likely Alicia was at school and has gone missing; that is why Travis would be standing there talking on his phone looking worried. Of course, only time will tell if this theory is correct or not. You can check out the three Fear The Walking Dead images below and make up your own mind about what they all mean.
Showrunner Dave Erickson also discusses the plan for Season 1 of Fear The Walking Dead. He states the show will start earlier than the outbreak as a way to establish the core family members.
“Ultimately, it’s a family drama. One of the things that Robert [Kirkman] and I discussed from the very beginning was, we’re starting a little earlier in the apocalypse. And what that allowed us to do in the pilot and Season 1 is establish our core family, establish the problems and the conflicts that they have, and really let that be the initial world that we live in. And we layer in the onset of the apocalypse, we layer in our first walkers, but it’s really an effort to exacerbate the problems that already exist with Kim Dickens’ character and Cliff Curtis’ character and their sort of dysfunctional blended family. It’s really filtering the apocalypse through that.”
Selected cast and crew of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead will be attending San Diego Comic Con next month. They will be appearing on Saturday July 11, 2015 and you can find out more details about their appearance here.
