New iPhone Siri Ads Feature Samuel L. Jackson, Zooey Deschanel [Videos]

A pair of new iPhone Siri Ads featuring badass Samuel L. Jackson and New Girl star Zooey Deschanel have started airing on U.S. television.

The ads, embedded below for your viewing pleasure/annoyance, show off Siri, the voice-controlled personal assistant that comes as standard on Apple’s iPhone 4S.

In the TV spots, we see Jackson preparing for a dinner date as Siri explains recipes to him, and Deschanel lounging around her home, asking if it’s raining (despite standing four feet from a window) and ordering a delivery of tomato soup to her home.

Celebrity endorsements are not especially common for Apple, but even more unusual is that the company is pushing a product (Siri) that is still technically in beta – well, at least according to the telling ‘Beta’ tag on Apple’s site.

The firm needs to tread carefully, however. If Siri’s responses seem unusually quick in these ads, a notice at the end of the commercials explains that “sequences have been shortened.”

In March, two lawsuits were filed against Apple last month over Siri, with the company accused of exaggerating Siri’s abilities in promotional materials. One assumes that the disclaimers are there to cover any nasty legal repercussions for Apple.

Anyway, here are the ads in their full glory. Do any iPhone 4S owners reading also find the representation of Siri a little too good to be true?
