Dorinda Medley joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for season seven, and while the series has not yet concluded on Bravo, the reality star is already looking forward to her possible return for season eight. During an interview with OK! Magazine on June 30, Dorinda Medley confirmed she was on board with coming back if the network will have her.
“I hopefully will return next season.”
According to Dorinda Medley, The Real Housewives of New York City was a blessing. Following the death of her husband, Richard Medley, nearly four years ago, Medley claimed she was in “a little bit of a rut.” But after her longtime friend, Ramona Singer, one of the show’s original wives, invited her to film, she got back to her old self.
“It got me back out, it got me involved and it got me into a routine. I know these girls. It wasn’t like me entering into something that was totally bizarre or unnatural. It was a very healing experience.”
For Dorinda Medley, being on the NYC-based reality show has been like “rehab” at times, but despite the fun moments, she also experienced hardships within her relationship to boyfriend John. As soon as the series debuted earlier this year, John’s intentions were questioned by a number of Dorinda Medley’s co-stars. He was also accused of being flirtatious with Kristen Taekman, who came aboard the series last year.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Dorinda Medley hasn’t always sided with John’s behavior when it comes to the show, and on Twitter , she’s made her feelings known on more than one occasion.
Below is a tweet she shared months ago.
He looks like such a lech!!! just stop, john….before it’s too late.

Still, regardless of what the couple went through during filming, Dorinda Medley said she didn’t believe in the reality television curse, that has allegedly plagued a number of her fellow Real Housewives stars, including Singer and Bethenny Frankel.
“I don’t believe in this Bravo curse. It’s a situation that accelerates anything that was going to happen anyway. If you’re having problems in your relationship, this puts more of a focus on it. If you’re strong enough, which I know we are, we love each other, I’m sure we’ll make it through.”
