WWE Rumors: Top Star Signed, Not Signed To New Deal — May Have To Leave WWE For A While
Dolph Ziggler has been the subject of a lot of WWE rumors in the past couple of weeks, and it’s all been quite confusing. Originally, there were rumors that he would definitely be heading to TNA after his WWE contract was up. Then, word had gotten out that he had signed a new WWE deal and was staying put. Now, that appears to have changed again and he may need to take some time off.
After all the talk of some “TNA insider” saying that Ziggler was heading there after his WWE contract was up, the rumors took an about-face. In the past week, those rumors changed to saying he had indeed signed a new multi-year deal to stay in place.
Well, that may not be true either.

Ziggler was on the Chad Dukes Versus The World show on Monday afternoon, and said he had not yet signed a new deal with WWE. He also stated that his would “end in a few months.”
“I’m thinking about it right now. I had a request for an upcoming contract that would end a few months from now, maybe two or three months from now, and they requested back what they would like, I countered another offer and we’re waiting to finalize some things. I love WWE and I can’t picture myself wrestling somewhere else but it’s also becoming now where that Wednesday and Thursday, I can’t just do that and get some outside live events for comedy and different movie and television options, which would only be to promote myself as a WWE superstar, to make myself a bigger star so I can advance more in WWE.”
There are some saying that the chances of Dolph Ziggler leaving WWE and signing with another company are “slim to none.” While that may be true, Ziggler didn’t rule out the chance that he could take some time off.
“So if I can’t find that happy medium, I might have to go away for a little bit.
What I wanna do is make myself a bigger asset to WWE. If it involves leaving, that would crush me but it might.”
Now, this may seem a tad odd when Ziggler told the Boston Herald a couple of days ago that “it feels like I started here (WWE), I should end my career with WWE.” Yes, he said that, but he also said it “would be really hard to walk away” and never once said he had actually signed a new deal.
Ziggler has been doing a lot of stand-up work lately, and he may want to see that continue going forward as he gets more successful. After seeing stars like The Rock succeed on screen and out of the ring, it’s obvious that Ziggler would like to do the same.
While Dolph Ziggler‘s career in WWE isn’t over and he isn’t yet ready for it to end, the 34-year-old star would like to check out other life options. With his contract soon coming to an end, fans may not see Ziggler in a ring for a while if he decides to take some time away.
