Chris Christie Officially Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
While many believe the Supreme Court unconstitutionally declared same-sex marriage a legal right throughout the 50 states last week, nearly every GOP presidential candidate weighed in on the verdict. To see what the candidates had to say, click on this link.
Today, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie officially declared his candidacy for the highest office in the land with the heartfelt video below.
Chris was nearly selected to be Mitt Romney’s vice presidential running mate in 2012, before that spot was designated for Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan. Christie is now the 14th GOP candidate to declare, but seeing as how Ohio Gov. John Kasich is set to announce very soon, he’s likely not the last, as the Inquisitr noted.
Christie’s brash persona leads many Republicans to believe that the Governor is ready to lead the nation by telling it like it is, and not beating around the bush as nearly every politician does. Though, most conservatives consider Christie to be a RINO (Republican in name only) who leans slightly more left than the grassroots would prefer.
Here are some immediate reactions from Twitter.
Great! Maybe he will split the Rino vote! http://t.co/o23uM2Y2BD

Most political junkies believe Christie is a long shot to win the Republican nomination, seeing as how he has strayed on a number of prominent issues. What conservatives are pining for at the moment is a Ted Cruz or Scott Walker in the Oval Office, in order to lead America the proper, traditional way.
Chris has become a hot commodity of sorts, appearing on various late night shows (including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon), and Americans have become weary of electing celebrities into office.
Does Chris Christie have your vote, and if not, who does?
