John Luke Robertson Wedding Scoop: ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Marries Mary Kate McEacharn
Duck Dynasty star John Luke Robertson married Mary Kate McEacharn over the weekend, and it seems the family had a great time. The big event took place at the family farm in Louisiana, and there was a large crowd on hand to help the newlyweds celebrate.
As Us Weekly shares, John Luke Robertson’s wedding to Mary Kate McEacharn took place on Saturday, June 27, in West Monroe, Louisiana. The couple had 800 guests in attendance, and the wedding had a casual feel to it. A local band played music, including the songs “Here Comes the Sun,” “Stand By Me,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Sweet Caroline.”
John Luke’s dad, Willie Robertson, officiated the nuptials, and it seems there was even a mariachi band playing before the ceremony. McEacharn shared a photo of the newly married couple after the vows were exchanged and they clearly were over-the-moon.
Mary Kate wrote as follows.
“Well… WE GOT MARRIED! Thank you to everyone for the love and support and thank you to God for the absolutely perfect weather. Love my new husband and love being Mrs. Mary Kate Robertson. Let the adventure begin. #johnlukeandmarykate.”
John Luke wore a suit with a bow-tie, while Mary Kate wore a beaded and tulle gown with a ring of flowers in her hair. Mary Kate had also shared a photo of the bridesmaids gathering with her for lunch ahead of the wedding itself, and naturally, John Luke’s sisters Sadie and Rebecca were two of the ladies in the bridal party.
There was a large group at the wedding, and many Duck Dynasty and Dancing With the Stars fans noticed that Sadie Robertson’s DWTS partner, Mark Ballas, was there, too, along with his girlfriend, BC Jean. Mark shared some photos on Instagram showing Mary Kate in what seems to be a casual and fun reception ensemble, and it seems he even sang for the reception crowd.
Duck Dynasty fans have already seen a bit of the wedding prep in the new season that just started airing, and surely the full wedding will be covered in an episode to come. Wedding planner Bethany Sigrest shared that Mary Kate wanted a fun and casual wedding, and it looks like that’s exactly what she got.
Both Mary Kate and John Luke Robertson plan to attend Liberty University this fall. The two met at a Christian summer camp in 2010 and started dating in March, 2013. The Duck Dynasty star proposed on his 19th birthday, and the rest is history. Congratulations to Mary Kate McEacharn and John Luke Robertson on their new marriage!
