Mitchelle Blair: Mom Pleads Guilty To Murdering Her Kids, Gives Chilling Account Of Murders With ‘No Regrets’

By now, most have read about Detroit mom Mitchelle Blair, who tortured and killed two of her children — daughter Stoni Blair, 13, and son Stephen Berry, 9. As previously reported on Inquisitr, Blair was charged with felony first-degree murder for killing the two children and putting their bodies in the deep freezer inside her home. Now, it has been reported that she has pleaded guilty to committing the horrendous crimes. However, that’s not all she’s done.

According to Detroit Free Press, the 36-year-old mom appeared before Wayne County Circuit Judge, Dana Hathaway, on Monday, June 29. She has also released a statement in regards to her actions, but she definitely doesn’t feel how most would assume. She, apparently, has “no remorse” for what’s she’s done.

“I don’t regret none of this… I don’t feel no remorse for the death of those demons… I have two children… That’s it. Stephen and Stoni are demons, period.”

She has admitted to putting a bag over her daughter’s, Stoni’s, head to suffocate her. Once the child lost consciousness, she doused her with scalding hot water, struck her in the head, and kicked her repeatedly. Blair also reiterated that she did not have any regrets for her actions. She also shared details about the torture her son, Stephen, suffered.

Blair admitted she’d beaten and kicked the boy repeatedly. He’d also been forced to drink window cleaner, and she burned him by pouring scorching hot water over his genitals until “his skin came off.” But, the horrific torture didn’t end there. She revealed that she’d wrapped a belt around his neck, lifted him with it, and put a bag over his head. Although her son, Stephen, suffered a similar horrifying fate, Blair insists she only meant to kill Stoni. Blair stated that she didn’t think the bodily harm she inflicted on her son would kill him.

“I definitely meant to kill her… If I had the chance to do it again, I would.”

According to Click On Detroit, the horrendous torture lasted from 2012 to 2014. Blair has reportedly disowned the two children and claims the abuse was a defense mechanism to protect her youngest son. She accused Stoni and Stephen of abusing the younger child, but admits she never actually saw the alleged abuse. Investigators have also stated that there is no substantial evidence to support those claims. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office stated that both children died from multiple blunt force trauma.

The bodies of the two children were discovered in the deep freezer, sitting in the living room of Blair’s home on March 24 following an eviction. The actual dates the children were killed remain unknown. However, it has been reported that Stephen was killed in 2012, and Stoni sometime in 2013. Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office stated that both children died from multiple blunt force trauma. In addition to the trauma, Stephen also suffered thermal injuries from the burns. The examiner also cited that the children were severely malnourished.

Mitchelle Blair has pleaded guilty to charges of felony murder, first-degree premeditated murder, torture, and first-degree child abuse. Closing arguments are scheduled to be heard on Tuesday, June 30. Blair will be facing life in prison without the possibility of parole, and she is scheduled to be sentenced on July 17.
