‘Duck Dynasty’ Wedding: John Luke Robertson Marries Mary Kate McEacharn
A Duck Dynasty wedding happened over the weekend!
According to Us Weekly, John Luke Robertson tied the knot with his fiancée, Mary Kate McEacharn, on Saturday, June 27.
“I had an amazing time!” John Luke told the magazine in a statement. “It was one of the best days of my life! It was everything I hoped it would be and more,” his bride added.
The couple exchanged their vows in front of 800 guests at the Robertson’s family farm in West Monroe, Louisiana. The pair, who are both 19 years old, are following in the footsteps of Willie and Lorie Robertson, John Luke’s parents, who married young and went to Liberty University, where John Luke and Mary Kate plan on attending in the fall.

The guests later enjoyed a six-tier cake along with a spread of “grilled chicken skewers with vegetables, mini tacos and hamburgers, brisket sliders, and barbecue shrimp.” Songs like “Sweet Caroline,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Here Comes the Sun” were also playing in the background as the couple shared their beautiful day with their closest friends and family members.
“[Mary Kate] wanted it real fun, real casual, and she wanted flowers to be a big central point of it all,” wedding planner Bethany Sigrest said.
Their wedding comes just eight short months after John Luke popped the question to Mary Kate on his 19th birthday.

“I am so excited to marry my best friend,” he said in a statement to E! News at the time. “I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what ‘could be’ to me.”
“Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come,” he added. “God has truly blessed us.”

Robertson and McEacharn first met in 2010 at a Christian summer camp. However, they didn’t start dating until March, 2013.
“I had tried to date her before, and she kept turning me down! I just kept at it and she finally said yes!” John Luke said, following the announcement of his engagement. “I just knew [she was the one].”
