Nicki Minaj has proven herself as the Queen of Rap by scoring three hits in Billboard ‘s Hot 100 all during the same week. Nicki is a featured guest on David Guetta’s No. 9 hit, “Hey Mama.” She is also at No. 31 all by herself with “The Night Is Still Young.” Nicki Minaj is also a guest rapper on Madonna’s No. 84 hit “Bit*h I’m Madonna.”
According to TMZ , Nicki Minaj is so big right now that she can be very demanding on her tour bus. Some of the items she demands include 12-pieces of fried chicken, two strip steaks (well done), four bottles of MYX Fusion Muscato wine, and four mini bottles of Sutter Home Chardonney.
TMZ also reports that Nicki Minaj demands four rolls of toilet paper (Quilted Northern or Charmin Ultra) and one box of baby wipes (use your imagination on that). Perhaps, Nicki Minaj’s demands aren’t even half as bad as those of other music stars.
According to Hot New Hip Hop , Niki Minaj is demanding that her ex, Safaree Samuels, not be allowed on the red carpet at the BET Awards on Sunday evening.
“The two have a pretty frequent sub-tweet rapport these days, and news that Safaree had been ‘banned’ from walking the BET Red Carpet has led him to take his feelings to Twitter once again.”
Hot New Hip Hop notes that without saying it explicitly, Samuels seemed certain that Minaj made the request to ban him. So far, Minaj hasn’t responded. She is probably too upset over the bad reviews she received for her performance Friday night at Staples Center. The Los Angeles Times was definitely not impressed with Minaj’s performance.
“ Although capable of moving between myriad personas and sonic backdrops (hard-core rap, pop fluff, sticky dance floor bangers, R&B balladry) on record and in her provocative videos, that command has always been difficult for the rapper to harness onstage.”
The review goes on to note that Minaj felt unauthentic, like she was on cruise control. It also states that besides a surprising lack of cohesion in the show, the costumes felt pulled for a dress rehearsal.
Although the Los Angeles Times review is harsh, Nicki Minaj has never let critics back her into corner. When she first appeared at the end of the 2000s, she was called a “flash in the pan,” and many said she had absolutely no talent. These days, Nicki Minaj is certainly getting the last laugh.
