Rapper DMX Arrested For Robbery, Other Warrants Following Unpaid Child Support
Rapper DMX was arrested in New York Friday night on a collection of warrants including robbery. The latest offense was a large amount of unpaid child support.
As the rapper was about to perform in New York, sheriffs caught up with him and took him into custody after he allegedly failed to pay over $400,000 in child support. He had been scheduled to do his thing at the Master of Ceremony Concert at Radio City, alongside performers such as Mase, Rakim, Shabba Ranks, Pete Rock, and the Lox.
Born Earl Simmons, the rapper was already wanted on multiple charges. He hadn’t been charged in the case of robbery on April 5 of a gas station in Newark, New Jersey. Allegedly a member of his entourage was accused of pointing a gun at a 21-year-old man and grabbing over $3,000 out of his hand before fleeing into one of four black Escalades.
DMX is facing charges, however, for bail jumping in White Plains.
Unfortunately for DMX, his bail wouldn’t be forgiven even in Washington, D.C., the only city that Last Week Tonight with John Oliver states will actually not set bail if you can’t afford it. The rapper is famous enough that he probably makes more than enough to pay his bail, and as such, the fame helped get DMX arrested.
Another warrant issued in Yonkers accused DMX of aggravated operation of a motor vehicle without a license.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, DMX has been known for being in trouble with the law repeatedly for a decade.

It is unknown why the rapper continually ends up in trouble with the law, but unpaid child support and other outstanding warrants have been enough to get DMX arrested once more. Previous arrests on the rapper’s record include animal cruelty, dog fighting, drug possession, weapons possession, reckless driving, and driving under the influence, according to the Rolling Stone.
For now, DMX has been reportedly bailed out following his latest infraction which caused him to miss out on a concert.
