‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Star Jamie Dornan Will Not Go Full Frontal In ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Despite Rumors
Although there were early rumors that Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan has agreed to go full frontal in the upcoming film Fifty Shades Darker, it now appears as though that might not happen. According to The Stir, the costume designer for the upcoming film believes it’s best to leave more to the imagination when it comes to nudity on-screen.
“I don’t need it all spelled out for me,” Bridges stated when asked about Dornan shedding all in the new movie. “Things left to the imagination are better. But the people who are involved in the later films must know something I don’t know.”
The earlier reports pointed to the idea that Dornan had signed a major bonus in order to appear fully nude in the sequel. While Bridges’ comments don’t come out and directly state that Dornan will not be fully nude, his comments, especially considering the fact he has first hand knowledge of what the characters will and will not be wearing in the movie, do indicate that it might not happen.
Meanwhile, more reports have surfaced about E.L. James’ plans to expand the series. The author recently published a new book in the Fifty Shades of Grey universe, titled Grey, which is based on the events in the first novel but told from Christian’s perspective instead of Anastasia’s.
Since the first movie in the franchise proved to be a major success, and with two more on the way, many fans have speculated that Grey would also be adapted to the big screen. Although James and the studio have yet to announce an agreement concerning any additional movies, the author did reveal that more books were on the way.
According to KPopStarz, James is set to release another book from Christian’s perspective that will be based on the events of Fifty Shades Darker.
“I will most likely write Fifty Shades Darker from Christian’s point of view,” James stated in an interview, adding “It wasn’t that hard to write from Christian’s perspective once I got started.”
Given the fact that Grey was a record selling book in its first week, selling more than 600,000 copies in only three days, it is very likely that it be adapted to the big screen. However, while Dakota Johnson and Dornan are willing to reprise their roles in the next two films, it isn’t known if they will agree to any more beyond that.
While fans eagerly await more news concerning their favorite franchise, Fifty Shades Darker is expected to premiere in theaters in 2017.
