One person who won’t be downloading LuAnn de Lesseps’ new song, “Girl Code (Don’t Be So Uncool),” is her The Real Housewives of New York City co-star Heather Thomson. In an interview with OK! Magazine posted on Wednesday, Heather revealed that she and LuAnn are no longer friends .
Heather accused LuAnn of faking a feud for the sake of a storyline. In an upcoming episode, viewers will apparently see the two fight over LuAnn inviting strange men to their Turks & Caicos vacation property.
“We’re not friends. I was sad about it, now I’m just over it. That was LuAnn’s choice. She chose the show over our friendship. She, for relevance on the show, continued this fight with me that wasn’t a fight. We made up on camera twice and then off camera three times. She just kept it going. She’s pretending that I never apologized to her.”
Heather Thomson added that she doesn’t like the current LuAnn de Lesseps.
“I don’t even know where LuAnn is anymore. The girl I fell in love with and I thought was my friend, her name is Lu. I don’t know this Countess and I don’t really like her so much.”
A preview of the season shows that viewers will see LuAnn exclaim to her co-stars, “Be cool. Don’t be all, like, uncool.” During her Watch What Happens Live appearance on Tuesday, LuAnn explained that the song was inspired by the drama in Turks & Caicos. “Don’t be so uncool / Now I gotta let you go,” LuAnn sang. Her daughter provided backup vocals.
Yet LuAnn wouldn’t name names when asked exactly which of her co-stars inspired the song. LuAnn maintained that she didn’t do her song to call anyone out, but simply to release her emotions.
Perhaps the song was also inspired by LuAnn’s earlier fight with Carole Radziwill? As previously reported by the Inquisitr , LuAnn and Carole engaged in an epic Twitter feud a few weeks ago over Carole dating an ex-boyfriend of LuAnn’s neice.
While it’s not clear whether LuAnn de Lesseps’ song is about Heather Thomson, Heather has made clear that she doesn’t find LuAnn’s song good at all.
“Am I excited about her dumb song? No I’m not. I’m not a big fan of LuAnn’s music. I’ve always been a very supportive friend, but when you’re not friends with somebody you don’t have to be so supportive so I think the song is stupid.”
