While Kaitlyn Bristowe is still looking for love on The Bachelorette , fans are already buzzing about ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season. Though there had been some talk about possible frontrunners, things took a big shift when new Bachelorette spoilers came out about Bristowe’s final rose ceremony . Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that things have, indeed, started pointing in another direction, and fans may get a bit excited about this. What’s the scoop?
Reality Steve’s spoilers had originally said that Josh Murray, Andi Dorfman’s ex-fiancé, Shawn Booth, and Chris Strandburg were the frontrunners to become the Bachelor 2016 star. While Josh Murray may well still be a frontrunner, Steve says that Strandburg is out and the newest Bachelorette spoilers would indicate that Booth is out, as well.
Fans have really enjoyed Ben Higgins this season so far. Granted, with the Nick Viall versus Shawn Booth theme playing out, Ben hasn’t necessarily gotten that much attention. Despite that, Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers now indicate that Higgins may be in the lead for consideration.
Steve says that at this point, he’s hearing that the network and producers are focusing on two guys: Murray and Higgins. Given Steve’s Bachelorette spoilers about the upcoming eliminations this season , many would say that Ben ends up in a spot that lends itself quite easily to putting him in that Bachelor spot this winter.
While ABC won’t be making an announcement until late summer or early fall, a new report by E! Online may add some additional fuel to the “Ben as Bachelor” fires. When they asked host Chris Harrison about the rumors, he went into great detail about how it wouldn’t be Josh .
Of course, long-time “Bachelor Nation” fans know that this is a bit of a game at this point in the casting. Chris Harrison always says that no decision has been made, even when things are narrowed down, and show creator Mike Fleiss always asks fans for input on Twitter, even when the show already knows who they’re considering.
However, E! Online typically is fairly in the know about where the show is heading, and they often share reports that do have some solid information, even if one needs to read between the lines. Harrison said that former Bachelor Chris Soules definitely will not be back as a lead, and Chris seems to be pointing toward a guy from this season as their next pick.
If fans narrow down the options to the top six guys, and eliminate those not in the running due to other spoilers, that would leave Nick Viall, Ben Higgins, Jared Haibon, and Joe Bailey. Though fans definitely have their favorites, it isn’t hard to see at this point why attention may be turning to Higgins.
Fans will definitely want to take notice of the editing in these next few episodes to see if Ben starts to be featured more. Of course, there will still be quite a bit of attention placed on the Kaitlyn, Nick, and Shawn saga, but Ben’s reaction and editing may provide some clues about how accurate these latest Bachelor spoilers are. The “Men Tell All” special that comes toward the end of the season should be telling, as well.
The show has made it pretty clear at this point that they won’t be picking a lead who is brand new to the franchise. Given that, do you want ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 lead to be Ben Higgins, Josh Murray, Nick Viall, or someone else?
