Cameron Diaz Takes Break From Acting To ‘Try To Have A Baby’
Actress Cameron Diaz reportedly wants to take a break from acting, because she wants to be a mother in real-life.
Us Weekly reports that the 42-year-old actress has decided to take a one-year hiatus from acting to spend more quality time with her husband of five months, Benji Madden.

The report further states that, according to an inside source, her one-year break from big-screen acting will allow her to “be a good wife and try to have a baby.”
“All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life… [Cameron] has told her team she won’t answer the phone for any amount of money — even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything.”
Taking a one-year hiatus might seem a little extreme for the actress – especially since she is still apparently in high-demand within the film industry.
According to Us Weekly, Cameron Diaz made $18 million in 2014 alone with such films as Sex Tape starring Jason Segel, The Other Woman starring Leslie Mann and Kate Upton as well as the Annie musical starring Jamie Foxx and Rose Byrne.

Between 2009 and 2014, the Bad Teacher actress was featured in other 15 different movies. Therefore, deciding to put her acting career on an extensive hiatus might seem far-fetched.
However, according to the insider, it seems as if being in love and married to Benji Madden has helped her to change her perspective and priorities.
“She loves watching TV and movies at home with Benji, and she’s working on new recipes for a follow-up to The Body Book. Her priorities have 100 percent shifted. She wanted to settle down and she has.”
Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden became husband and wife back in January at an intimate ceremony, which was held in the couple’s Los Angeles home.
According to People magazine, an inside source claimed that more than 90 guests were in attendance “but they still managed to make it feel very personal.”
“It all felt very down-to-earth and sweet. Guests arrived smiling and almost seemed giddy. Everyone was excited to be a part of the wedding.”
Leading up to her wedding, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden had only been engaged for 17 days, according to FOX News. Nicole Richie, Cameron’s friend and Benji’s sister-in-law, played matchmaker for the couple.
Cameron Diaz opened up about her feelings on marriage in a 2011 interview with Maxim, claiming that she believed it was a “dead institution.”
“I think we have to make our own rules. I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off of old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”
Nearly four years later, it is apparently clear that Cameron Diaz has changed her viewpoint on that particular topic.
