Arrow Season 4: Stephen Amell And Emily Bett Rickards Discuss Future Of ‘Olicity’
Arrow season 4 information has been leaking like sieve, and the Arrow himself Stephen Amell has been giving the majority of the next season details, and occasionally Emily Bett Rickards. Olicity, as the torrid romance between Olive Queen and Felicity Smoak has been called, has been through so much. As Arrow fans know, season after season, their relationship has face new challenges. Arrow fans beware, if you have not watched up until the end of season 3, there will be Olicity and other spoilers.
Prior to the end of Arrow season 3, Olicity seemed to be something only found in fans dreams. However, by the season finale, Olicity was riding off into the sunset aware from Starling City. If you thought it was “Happily ever after” for Olicity, according to Enstars, you would be wrong.
Arrow star Stephen Amell was asked in an interview whether or not their Olicity fairytale ending in season 3 meant “Olicity 4e”, and he did affirm this notion. However, he sarcastically alluded to more bumps in Olicity’s romantic road in Arrow season 4.
“I think that’s the plan,” he said. “And as we know, on our show nothing bad ever happens when people are super happy.”
Emily Bett Rickards, who plays the other half of Olicity, seems to have far less knowledge on the future of their relationship in Arrow season 4.
“What I think is so interesting is that once you help people and have served justice for so long, is that it might become an addiction to a certain extent. It’s one thing to go and be happy and sit on an island, but you want to still be doing important work. So I don’t know what that’s going to be for them. They’re going to have a balance of that and hopefully in their relationship as well.”
While the Olicity duo is mostly mum on the specifics of their season 4 future. TVLine reported that their might be a Felicity replacement coming in the season 4.
“In the second episode of Season 4, the CW hit will introduce the heavily recurring character of a twentysomething African American male who is a technological savant on par with Ms. Smoak.”
While the report later suggested that the new Arrow character might end up being a Felicity equivalent opponent, who works for H.I.V.E., no further details exist about this mystery character. The Inquisitr reported that Damien Darhk and H.I.VE. have been name-dropped as the Arrow season 4 baddie, so the latter seems more likely. Fans will just have to wait and see, as the new season October 7.
