Jarret Stoll Charged: Erin Andrews’ Boyfriend Faces Felony Charge In Las Vegas Drug Arrest
Jarret Stoll has been charged with felony cocaine possession after the Las Vegas incident that led to his arrest.
Stoll, a Los Angeles Kings hockey player and boyfriend of the Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews, is due in court on the issue in July.
The Los Angeles Times shares that Jarret Stoll’s charge came after authorities received toxicology reports on the substances found on the hockey player at the time of his arrest. The incident came in April as he was attending a pool party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Stoll underwent what was said to be a voluntary pat-down before entering the party, and that’s when the drugs were found. Reports indicate that Stoll admitted to authorities that the one substance was cocaine.
At the time of the arrest, authorities indicated that Jarret had 3.3 grams of cocaine on him along with 8.1 grams of gel caps containing MDMA, also known as Ecstasy. The Ecstasy was not mentioned in the criminal complaint just issued.
Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews has not commented directly on the issue of her boyfriend’s arrest, though some thought she took a bit of a dig at her boyfriend during DWTS shortly after the news broke. While Jarret and Erin have not been seen out together since his April arrest, sources tell E! Online that the two are still a couple.
Stoll’s attorney, David Chesnoff, has said that they are hoping for a fair resolution in the case regarding the Las Vegas incident. Jarret could simply receive probation, but he also faces a prison sentence of up to four years if he is convinced at trial.
As for the hockey player’s career, he is set to become a free agent on July 1. Many note that it has generally not expected that Stoll would be returning to the Los Angeles Kings, regardless of the Las Vegas incident. Jarret has played with the team for the past seven seasons, and the Kings have said they were conducting an internal investigation into the Vegas incident.
Will Erin Andrews’ beau end up going to jail, or will he manage to skate out from under this one? Will his career and free agency be affected by the charge? Jarret Stoll is expected to be back in court on July 1 and many will be curious to see what comes next in this case.
