Dorinda Medley On Sonja’s Defensive Behavior: ‘Bethenny Should Have Walked Away’

Dorinda Medley may be new to The Real Housewives of New York, but Dorinda has been close friends with Ramona Singer for years and she may have heard about Ramona’s friendship with Sonja Morgan. Of course, Morgan made headlines when she filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy a few years back, so maybe Medley knew of her financial troubles prior to coming on the show.

However, Dorinda Medley may be learning that it is best to leave Morgan alone when she gets defensive. Prior to Bethenny Frankel joining the group, the ladies had tried to talk some sense into Morgan, and Heather Thomson believed that Frankel could be the one to do it. But Dorinda noticed that this particular plan didn’t work. In fact, it may just have made things worse.

According to a new tweet, Dorinda Medley is now revealing that Bethenny should have just walked away from the drama with Sonja Morgan, as Sonja doesn’t want to hear people’s opinions without asking for them.

“That’s not cool……. Bethenny can’t always be the final word on everything. Sometimes people just don’t need to hear it at that moment,” Dorinda Medley revealed on Twitter as the episode was airing, adding, “This is when Bethenny should’ve just walked away. It’s better to just leave Sonja alone when she gets defensive,” and then concluding, “It’s hard enough to find someone who WANTS to hear it…..”

This isn’t about taking sides. According to the Inquisitr, Dorinda Medley has taken Bethenny’s side over Sonja’s and vice versa. Medley tends to say and do what she feels is right in any situation. As for Frankel’s decision not to walk away, she reveals that she genuinely does care for her co-star.

“I understand Sonja feeling very paranoid and not trusting of this group. I genuinely want the best for her and for her to succeed in all areas of life. There really is a lot going on for many women in this group emotionally,” Frankel explains, adding, “I care about and genuinely like Sonja, and I was trying to break in and make some sense of the situation. I had no right to tell her or anyone to shut the f*** up. I was frustrated beyond the brink.”

Even though Dorinda may not get involved with the drama, she can see that some things may be better left alone. Medley has hosted several dinner parties this season, where the drama simply just took over.
