Brandi Glanville Confirms ‘RHOBH’ Departure — Is The Reality Star Getting A Spinoff?
Brandi Glanville has responded to rumors that she has been fired from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The Drinking and Tweeting author confirmed Tuesday that she is leaving the show.
Reports surfaced last week that Bravo producers fired Glanville because her erratic behavior left the other cast members unwilling to film with her. However, the network reportedly would allow Brandi to make guest appearances in the upcoming season in an attempt to redeem herself. If the controversial Housewife could prove that she can “play nice” with her co-stars, sources say, she would earn back her full-time status on the show.
Although Brandi did not respond immediately to the firing rumor last week, she is speaking out now. At the end of her June 23 Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, the RHOBH star took the opportunity to let fans know she has decided to leave the show.
“So after a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Brandi Glanville goes on to say the network has been good to her and if producers need her, they know how to get in touch. The reality TV star also hinted she has some “exciting things” in the works, but she cannot yet reveal to the public any of the details of her next venture.
Although Glanville is staying mum on the topic for now, recent comments from Bravo producer Andy Cohen have left many fans speculating Brandi is getting a spinoff. According to Classicalite, Cohen recently dished to Anderson Cooper that the network is hoping to find a show more fitting for Glanville.
Brandi, through her relationship with Adrienne Maloof, joined the hit series as a “Friend of the Housewives” during its second season and quickly earned her spot as an official full-time Housewife for Season 3. During the subsequent seasons, Glanville frequently butted heads with the majority of her cast mates, earning her the reputation of being one of the most controversial Housewives in the Bravo franchise. The mom of two recently admitted on William Shatner’s Brown Bag Wine Tasting that her drama-causing ways on the show were more for attention than anything else.
While filming for Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to begin this summer, Bravo has not confirmed who will be returning for the upcoming season. The announcement of a new RHOBH cast may be taking longer than usual due to ongoing contract negotiations. As the Inquisitr previously reported, some of the Housewives want significant pay raises to appear in the sixth season.
