After several children and the better part of a decade together, it appears that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are finally going to tie the knot- if several reports are to be believed.
The reports of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s alleged engagement come from Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop. Formerly of British jewelry company Asprey Garrard, Procop has worked with Jolie in the past, designing a line dubbed “The Style of Jolie,” available on his website.
Procop blabbed about the betrothal to press after speculation began anew when Jolie was spotted out wearing new sparklers. The jeweler’s rep says:
“I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.”
The Hollywood Reporter obtained a statement from Procop, in which he says the project was a long time coming and a result of extensive work with Pitt in order to locate the perfect shape and size of diamond for his wife-to-be:
“Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
Reps for Pitt and Jolie have not confirmed the engagement to press at this time.
