Jon Stewart Not Slowing Down As He Enters Final Stretch at ‘Daily Show’
Jon Stewart came out swinging, taking shots at presidential hopefuls as he enters his final full week as host of the Daily Show, and he shows no signs of leaving quietly.
Stewart was candidly joyful at the news that Donald Trump officially announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidential election. Based on past commentary from Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, he anticipates a wealth of his brand of comic banter to be fed by sound bytes from Trump’s campaign.
“The more he talks, the more he appears on television, the more he makes the other Republicans’ crazy seem kind of reasonable by comparison,” said Stewart in reference to Trump, according to The Huffington Post.

But he doesn’t seem to be letting any of the other republicans off the hook. Jon Stewart ripped South Carolina Republican candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham for the tone that he set during his announcement that he entered the race.
“Fear mongering just sounds so much more charming with that accent,” said Stewart, according to RawStory.
“After that speech everyone’s running for the bomb shelters,” Stewart said. “You were scaring the sh*t out of people. I don’t think ‘I Feel Good’ goes with one single sentence of that speech.”

Jon Stewart held nothing back when addressing Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal entering the race, picking apart the odd video of Jindal telling his family that he decided to make a bid for the White House, and receiving a lackluster response.
“I am not a political scientist. I am obviously not a campaign manager. [However,] I believe a sign that your campaign may be in trouble when you cannot carry a majority of your immediate family,” Stewart said, according to Business Insider.

Rich Santorum found himself in hot water with Stewart recently as well. In response to Pope Francis encouraging governments to take action on environmental matters, Santorum said, “leave the science to the scientists,” according to EcoWatch.
Santorum’s statement prompted a rant from Stewart on the subject of global warming, pointing out that Santorum neglected the common consensus on global warming in the scientific community. Santorum also erred, in that Pope Francis is actually a scientist.
