Kim Kardashian Reveals She’s Having A Son, Rules Out Three Rumored Names For Baby Boy West

Kim Kardashian West shared the exciting news on Father’s Day — Kim and Kanye are expecting a little boy in December. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared the big news on Instagram, along with an adorable photo of her husband and the couple’s two-year-old daughter, North West.

Now the big question is: what will Baby Boy West be named? One thing is certain — he won’t be named based on a direction, so fans can rule out the South, West, or East name rumors.

“Precious moments like this when we were traveling on tour with you are what I live for. You’re such a good daddy to North & you will be the best daddy to our new son too!”

Kim revealed the sex of baby number two just minutes before midnight, much to the delight of her fans — in just 45 minutes she had more than 367,000 likes and thousands of comments.

Hours before she made the big reveal, Kim paid tribute to Kanye in another post on Instagram. A sweet photo of Kanye kissing the couple’s daughter, North, was accompanied by a thank you to her husband for being “such a good Dad.”

“I’m so lucky to be married to a man who is so in love with his daughter, your bond is so irreplaceable! Thank you for being such a good dad! We love and appreciate you so much! We’re so blessed to have you!”

Now that the word is out that Kim is having a little boy, KUWTK fans are anxious to find what his name will be. When North was born in June 2013, her name created quite a buzz online.

According to British GQ, the couple chose their daughter’s name based on a rumor that they were going to name her North West. After having two separate conversations with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and singer-song writer Pharrell Williams, they decided that it was the perfect name for their baby girl.

Kim tells GQ that after Pharrel told the couple that North was “the best name,” they ran into Anna Wintour, who told them that “North is a genius name.”

“It was a rumor in the press and we’d never really considered it seriously, at all… Kanye and I looked at one another and just laughed. I guess at that point it sort of stuck.”

Kim and Kanye have already ruled out the possibility that their son will not be named South West, or any direction for that matter. During a recent interview with NPR, Kim stated that rumors about their second baby being named South are “just ridiculous.”

“Everyone keeps on saying South and I think it’s so stupid. Stupidest thing ever and just ridiculous. I don’t like South West… North will always, you know, be better and be more… she has a better direction. So I wouldn’t do that. I don’t think we’ll go with another direction.”

Fans have some time to wait to find out the name of Kim and Kanye‘s baby boy. Kim is not due until December, and it’s likely she won’t reveal her son’s name before she gives birth. Let the rumors begin.
