‘Pretty Little Liars’ Spoilers Reveals The Torture Of The Dollhouse [Video]
Warning: This article contains spoilers for Pretty Little Liars.
Last week’s Pretty Little Liars episode dealt with Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and Aria (Lucy Hale) coming to terms with what happened in the dollhouse and, as PLL fans watched, the girls finally opened up to one another about what happened and what they were forced to do to each other. Possibly the most poignant scene in that Pretty Little Liars had Hanna confessing to her friends that A had forced her to “play a game with switches, about hurting people.”
The Pretty Little Liars episode ended with Spencer voicing the malevolent motives behind such games as “Truth or Dare,” “Who Deserves Water Today?,” and “Who Do You Love More?”
“The point was that we thought we hurt each other. That is what Charles really wanted us to know — that there was a point where we would do it. Any of us. All of us.”
While future Pretty Little Liars episodes will certainly deal with the fallout from confessing who chose to torture who, this teaser for Pretty Little Liars season 6, episode 4 “Don’t Look Now” foretells that the episode will explore the experiences of both Aria and Spencer, while in the dollhouse.
PLL fans have already seen evidence that both Aria and Spencer are desperate to forget what happened while the pretty little liars were trapped in the dollhouse. Spencer has already begun to resort to stealing Aria’s medication as a means of escaping the reality of what happened, while Aria’s own desperation was seen in the way that she was so overzealous in accusing her boyfriend of being their kidnapper.
“Don’t Look Now” will give PLL fans a closer look at what happened to Aria and Spencer in the dollhouse and it’s a look that fans of Pretty Little Liars have been waiting weeks to glimpse. Finally, we will learn how each of these two liars dealt with the games, each of which presumably ended with one form of torture or another. Even the brief teases of Aria and Spencer in the episode trailer leave PLL fans with a sense that both of these two girls have been tortured and taunted to the brink of insanity. Aria especially looks like she may lose touch with reality at any moment.
Meanwhile, the girls discover more about Charles DiLaurentis and learn a startling fact that may send them back to the beginning of the mystery.
Pretty Little Liars airs “Don’t Look Now” on Tuesday, June 23, on ABC Family.
